Emma Wise wakes up in hospital after being in a major accident to life altering news. Then, meets Kade, who is so much more than he appears. Turns out, Emma has more family than she thought and is in for the shock of her life when she moves to Alaska to live with Aunt Alaine. But that means leaving behind the life she's known in Southern California, and, more importantly, her two best friends, Lia and Jeremy.

This story is pretty much everything I always wished would happen to me when I was younger (minus the terrible life events she has to go through to get to the end). As we know, heroines can't grow into strong characters without loss and adversity (plus, it just makes a good story). I had so many emotions throughout this story and truly recommend this series to everyone who loves fantasy!
