Magic Cries by Miriam Greystone
2 of 5 stars
Magic Cries (The Echoes - Book 2) was a lot more of the same as the first book. The characters really don't develop much more beyond Molly's power developing and Jake accepting his lot in life. Andrew, the villain, is excessively one-sided, which makes the story that much less appealing. And the introduction of the Watchers is the only real excitement aside from the last few pages of the book! I must say, I did enjoy Evie & Bea. They were very good characters - possibly because they are selfless and good?
I also received this book in exchange for a review, so I struggled through to the finish, but I really do not think I'll be reading book 3...if there is one. There's just not enough in it to keep me entertained, so it was a good thing the books actually aren't much longer than a 2-3 hour read each.

One thing is certain—the choice Molly makes now is one she can never take back.
